Dear Mr. King,

It was a pleasure meeting you two weeks ago at MAM.  I had never heard of MAM, except as a resale store. One of the Spring Branch I.S.D teachers informed me that MAM could assist in employment search and different tutoring programs.  So I decided to visit your establishment. 

I was greeted by two gentlemen,  Bob Lewis and Daniel Leal.  Bob was very helpful with the orientation and application process, and Danny has been helpful every single time I come in.  Danny is always there to assist everyone with answering a large variety of questions, whether its related to tutoring, computers, programs, etc.  Danny not only helps, but reassures a person that what ever he has done to the computer it will be alright and proceeds to show that person the correct method.  His bilingual capabilities, knowledge and sincerity to help others, is an asset for all who come to MAM.

Just want you to know that everything is going quite well here in Big Bear Lake, CA--

As you know, I moved back to California--August 24,2012--this is the place where I want to retire-

By completing the course; and taking the test thru Houston Community College--I actually gained a lot of self-esteem--and the typing classes really helped a lot too!!!!

I now have "Two" part-time jobs!!!!!!!!!   My life is "Positively Fantastic"!!!!!!!!!!!

I have obtained certifications in PowerPoint 2010 and Essentials of Time Management.  I am currently pursuing Outlook 2010 in earnest.  There is so much to learn!

MAM has been essential in the prepartion for a new job.  Not only do I recommend the ECP course, but I encourage everyone to come and utilize the resources available, even if you have internet at home.  The volunteers, managers, directors and everyone in the employment services department is truly a blessing, wrapped up in kindness, knowledge, gentleness, patience and resourcefulness.  Coming to MAM has many benefits especially keeping the mind and body trained that full time hours here are a reflection of full time hours in a permanent job. Being able to talk to everyone here is helpful to keep you focused on the main course of finding a job.  The course they have prepard for ECP is truly a gift.  No matter where you are in life or how much you know there is always room for improvement.  The ECP course was an eye opener to teach you on different subjects to help better prepare the road ahead and even after you get a job, they help you capture the essence of keeping the job.  On a daily basis the staff and volunteers are there to assist, this is a blessing as it helps keep down discouragement in one's life.  Their gifts of  joy, laughter an encouragements are given freely and daily.  They can not be found staying at home alone!

First of all, from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank each and everyone of you for all your help and patience with me.

I am now EMPLOYED with Azteca America Channel 51, as of yesterday I became the Promotions Manager.  The General Manager really likes me and found the money to hire me.  I started this morning, the pay they offered was very low and I negotiated and they gave me pretty close to what I was asking for.  It feels great to have a job, my own office with a great view, BENEFITS IN 90 DAYS, access to company vehicle and a great boss!

GOD IS GREAT!  I probably will be having a couple of days off a week so I can drop by.  I will also keep everyone updated so ya can join me at the events.

I can't explain how I feel and thank you so much for all your help and especially SUPPORT!

I know it’s rather late but I just wanted to thank all of you for the time you spent with me during the program.  I’m sorry that I haven’t been around, but as you have said, looking for employment is a full time job.  Taking your advice regarding multiple resumes got me in front of employers and landed me a full time position with a company that I had previously interviewed with about 7 years ago.  They contacted me after finding my resume on Monster.com.  I went through several interviews before we worked out the pay and commission plan.  I had an offer letter within a few days after the final interview.  I was the only person they interviewed for that position.

Let your current and new classes know that having that thirty second elevator speech ready and making sure that they know the position they are applying for really pays off.

Good morning!  Thank you for your return call to me last night, don’t you ever go home?  I know your commitment to MAM and its clients, keeps you very busy, and yet you give everyone personal undivided attention.  We are all thankful for your help and knowledge, delivered in a manner easy to receive and inspire.

When I give thanks to MAM in this letter, that thanks is directed to everyone, the MAM organization, the leaders,  sponsors, churches, coaches, volunteers and not to be forgotten, the custodial care people that keep the building and grounds meticulously clean giving/making MAM maintain a professional appearance and a positive work/study place to enter and stay awhile (no hurry to get in and out, so more gets accomplished).

There is a “comfort” when entering MAM.  A feeling of support, “can do” and inspiring of confidence through the teachings of the coaches and an exemplary comprehensive training guideline derived of brilliant minds, expert knowledge and genuine caring for people to help them succeed.  Oh, yes and probably most important – up to date current employment guidelines and trends in today’s market, and easy to apply to one’s own personal needs.

Some day when I have more time, I will tell you how God and prayer lead me to MAM. God’s work is often done by mere mortals, living in the spirit and not the flesh.  God bless you all.

FYI as you know I have been actively pursuing this job with Caps Logistics for well over a month now.  Today finally I received a call with a offer of $xx,xxx per year.  Next week I will be going through the background paperwork process the following Monday in Denver for the week training then Houston based near the airport.
